@richievk that could be a good start. #Finlandisation was framed as a negative thing (and in some ways it was), so we need a new, positive brand. Perhaps #Finlandification instead is the process of having had to be tied to oppressive regimes, but slowly opening up and becoming a full member of the open, democratic communities. Perhaps #Ukraine is going through that, maybe one day #Belarus will. Finally #Russia will need some Finlandification so we can all work together again.

If ukraine has to give up it’s right to join NATO, because of conflict with russia then NATO is nothing less than a failure especially now where russia can’t possibly win the war without the use of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons which would be a turning point for NATO to take action..

..and when russia won’t survive as a nation in a long run with the effect of sanctions on them.

What we should be doing now is finlandisation of ukraine so that they will be accepted in the EU this month, but won’t join NATO as long as it’s territorial integrity is not threatened including crimea and donetsk regions.

If this is not reached then ukraine should continue fighting as they are going to win this war and conceding anything less will just make this situation to repeat in the future
