Anybody think that perhaps not supporting cashtags should be reconsidered? I understand the less commercial / capitalist ethos of Mastodon overall, but IMO adding support for stock tickers preceded by "$" would make Mastodon more usable for a large contingent of #fintwit #fintwitter users.
