The prosecution announcement against Baldwin is some of the stupidest crap I've ever heard. "If any of these people have done their jobs..."

It's never been the job of an *actor* to check props for safety. It's the job of the prop master. And Baldwin was assured the gun was "cold." That's not even in dispute.

But we can't let a little thing like the facts get in the way of politics and appearances right?

I was one of the lawyers who tried this case and it’s pretty amazing that the DOJ is arguing that background checks wouldn’t make a difference; that they don’t increase public safety. This contradicts the volumes of evidence we put on at trial on this. In fact, the government couldn’t even find an expert who would testify to the opposite.
