One of my sculptures, "A Harpy and her Harplings"
Wood stain and oils on fired ceramic.
The version of this sculpture on my site is more glossy and saturated from layers of oil glaze. But I was never quite satisfied with how they looked, so I sand blasted them lightly, and It was an improvement.

Sometimes sculptures look best when they’re raw clay- the uniform color helps bring focus to details that can often get lost in the final surface treatment.
