I only noticed now that there are also white ones emerging in the thin foliage (last pic), in addition to the orange, red and violet featured in this and previous posts.

#Firestarorchid’s were growing in pots on a commercial property’s front patio in #Nottinghill #Australia and they’re breathtaking.

They ranged from orange, red and violet. I’ll post a second toot to share the remaining pics, because they’re such a delight.

So delicate, such beauty.

Apparently these things are a common roadside weed often growing on middle elevations in Central America.

They’re obviously tended to lovingly here, as they’re in top condition despite the run of high temperatures Melbourne has been experiencing of late.

Good job to the human-angel who keeps these wondrous specimens thriving… and for providing us on #mastodon with yet more wonders of the gardening world!
