#shmoocon was great, had fun speaking at the #firetalks and meeting friends I haven't seen in ages. Now it's time to go home.
Throughout the con I also had to deal with the fact that my cat cooper is in critical care at the hospital, barely a week after losing our other cat Newton. The con was a great distraction. I really hope for some good news in that front.

And not only did @Tarah rock this #firetalk and bring a new voice to the stage, but she and @brysonbort also opened #shmoocon #firetalks with an absolute banger, which is definitely worth checking on the stream archive if you missed it!

@SheHacksPurple @ShmooCon Yeah, and I agree, if you're traveling a long distance with your primary goal of just speaking at #Firetalks, it's probably not worth it. Firetalks is just another event that's part of the #Shmoocon experience, sort of like the Amateur Radio exams, Barcode Shmarcode contest, Hack Fortress competition, etc. I hope this explains it more clearly.
