@heuser I agree with you that he didn't necessarily need to allow this (fossil fuel dependency need not be powered by U.S. fossil fuels), so I this as a blemish on his record, though I also agree with @RememberUsAlways that there's only one viable major party for climate progress in the US currently, and that's going to continue to be the case at least until we switch enough places away from election systems to (a.k.a. ).

I think it's less useful to see it as a "sin" than to just move onto the next battle, whether it be lawsuits against the project or otherwise.

We’re in agreement (phew). I still dislike the anti-Liberal hashtag because for many Canadians (not me and I gather, not you!), the choice is binary. So to be against Libs means to vote for PeePee. I’m about to go off-topic (welcome to my world) but I think the big fight is against — forget railways, it’s a new voting system we need!

What looks like. In we have a also (aka ) elected based on .

Do the not have a Senate?!

The problem in Australia is that there are too many tiers of govt: Local, State and Federal. We don't need the State govt. We can end that legacy govt while (almost) doubling the number of Local and Federal reps.

It'd be a boon for - we'd see more diverse voices in 2 tiers rather than less diversity in 3.
