#FirstToot I am a PhD student working on understanding how an insect - microbe defensive symbiosis is established. Here for some exciting science, pictures of cats, and to occasionally share some of my sci-art, cartoons or quick animations!

We aimed at assessing the patterns of adaptive substitutions in proteins in S. cerevisiae.

Previous studies reported a rate of zero in S. paradoxus, or failed to find evidence for adaptive evolution in S. cerevisiae.

Here we reanalysed the 1011 yeast genomes to fit models of distributions of fitness effects in several populations / genes / site categories.

I'm a #PostDoc at the Cerutti Lab in #Barcelona 🥘 researching #Bcells, #IgM, #IgD, #IgA, and their functions at various mucosal sites.

In the past 🔙 #PostDoc at #UCSanDiego 🏄‍♂️ studying B cells and IgA in the context of #IBD. Before, #PhD in Argentina 🧉 on immune tolerance of the ocular surface 👁️.

Everything focused on mucosal immunology.

Hello everyone, I am a graduate student in Derda Lab at University of Alberta in Edmonton, AB. We use genetically-encoded phage libraries to discover ligands using next-gen sequencing. My research has been focused on creating genetically-encoded multivalent liquid glycan array and probing cell surface glycan binding proteins. My research interests includes glycobiology, bioothgonal chemistry, phage, DEL, and next-gen DNA sequencing. #Glycotime #ChemicalBiology #NGS
