I don't know if this is geographically possible for you, but if it is then go pay them an in-person visit and be willing to sit with them for however long it takes–could be hours.
Most people can see the sunny day tomorrow. But for suicidal folks there's a chasm in the way with no bridge over it. Someone else will have to carry them through to the sunny day on their own bridge. (Most people will expect someone else to do it, though.)
