The days are inching toward Lughnasadh. The harvests are well underway as the mountains get smokier and the buzz of insects in the afternoon gets more insistent. Even as the days get hotter, I yearn for cool autumn mornings wet with dew and the fragrance of bracken browned in the sun.

Mema's avocado toast from our Bacon avocado tree! Creamy tasty three years in the making!
March germination November-December harvest!
Tree life 200-400. I get 20 of that at least!

Follow up on #firstharvest picked on December 5th ripe today!
Creamy delicious and the seed fell out! Once again this is a Bacon avocado, first year after a three year wait!
Avocado tree lifespan is 200-400 years!

All spongy up till now.
Need to wait two weeks to see if these are also to immature.
These are Bacon avocados.
We also planted last year a Mexicola Grande and this year a Hass tree.
