Just before sunrise on January first 2019. Pre-pandemic, so I was amused by the crowd at the place I had chosen because it was not crowded enough to be called a photographer scrum, but because there was no parking, people had blocked the street into a traffic jam for kilometers to see the sun rise. Which is funny when you walked. I normally do a stupid long #hike in the dark on December 31st to be somewhere beautiful for the #FirstSunriseOfTheYear.

Sometimes I meet inushishi on these trips. Sometimes more than is comfortable. I haven't met a bear on one of them yet, but I did meet one in Hakone once.

I would enjoy company. Is anyone interested?
