I'd like to share a TikTok video I made the other week. It tells a story with a genealogical twist.

I'd be very interested in any feedback that the or community has.

Thanks in advance.

Today in 1918, Wop May becomes the last pilot pursued by the Red Baron.
During the aerial combat, Manfred von Richthofen is hit in the chest, killing him in less than a minute.
Who killed him? Possibly Canadian Arthur Roy Brown, possibly troops on the ground 🤷

As the countdown to the release of The Life of a Medical Officer in WW1 commences, I thought I would share some daily snippets for your enjoyment. 1) During the First World War the British government became extremely concerned about the consumption of alcohol, fearing war production was being hampered by drunkenness. As such, they introduced several measures including the promotion of controlled drinking. :)

Today in 1858, Jeremiah Jones was born in Nova Scotia. At Vimy Ridge, he attacked a German gun emplacement himself & succeeded in taking it.
He was recommended for the Distinguished Conduct Medal but received no recognition for his heroics until 2010.

Today in 1944, Arthur Brown died. Born in 1893, he served in the First World War as a pilot. A flying ace, he is officially credited with shooting down The Red Baron on April 21, 1918. However, this is now disputed as its believed the Baron was shot down from the ground.
