For probably the best in Finland (and I’ve tried many) I recommend in . Wonderful environment at a farm with local produce. Good, crisp fish and mushy peas. Chips are not the double thick style you get in the UK, but at least decent country style. Last year they even had malt vinegar (I will aim to get them to bring that back).

We’ve been to England, Scotland, Ireland, and Northern Ireland and I found the best fish n’ chips I’ve EVER had right here in Maine at Ryan’s Corner House Irish Pub in Kennebunkport. Soooo good! What a cozy warm atmosphere and cozy warm people.

Where's the best takeaway shop in Melbourne? The ones closest to me all serve up Flake (Shark) no matter what you order. I suppose most people never learn the difference between Whiting, Bream, Flathead and Shark. But it's obvious to me. You go in, look at the menu, order some whiting, then come back and they give you shark.

So I am about to head out and drive past 4 different shops to go to Boronia Village where's there's an old Greek guy who barely speaks a word of English and actually serves up the real deal. If you order whiting you get whiting.

Remember Whiting and Bream have bone, Flake has cartilage. Flake fillets are generally cut much thicker.
