Well damn, I figured out how the divs work for the #Roll20 #FitD sheets. I never *really * understood them before and just made things work, but these bigger changes made me take a closer look and it clicked.

Spooky season is fast upon us, and with it, a jam! Starting Monday, you can submit your supplements for Bump in the Dark:. hunts, new playbooks, bespoke settings, a piece of short fiction, a piece of LONG fiction, pretty much everything is welcome!

just obligation and downtime fills our 3 hour timeslot. we roleplay a lot xD and it's good that way ^^

this week was all prep for the next mission: exploring the lower levels of the bastion, looking for missing people.

we had suspected sentient spoons, a confused goatman, an extremely unkind mother, flirting with a mean girl, and so much work done on the flagship!

getting a hang of this and enjoying it a lot ^^

#sunday is for time to design and consider #ttrpg #worldbuilding experiences for games. Looking at "i'm sorry did you say street magic" for some inspiration and I've created a brief guide for players in my ttrpg design, xp and notes journal. It's for linking together one-shots with arcs of either spirits, experiences or concepts. Still have to playtest, so might end up being something I use for design and play.
A lot of inspiration comes from #pbta and #fitd style playbooks and play.

@W99 Hear, hear! Ars Magica is among the best for me as well. One of my dream sessions - besides joining a campaign again - is to take out a Forged In The Dark hack of Ars Magica and see if that serves as an introduction for others. #arsmagica #fitd

@nukehavoc Thanks! I've so many #FitD games waiting 4 play, they'd make a multiverse. I want to house rule #Scum And Villainy and Gambits into #BladesInTheDark . #SavageWorlds is the only thing I haven't seen in your lisf, but have to one shot one day.

My latest experiences are: #Runequest, #Questworlds (Really Heroquest in #Glorantha), #Gumshoe: Swords of the Serpentine is great and #BelongingOutsideBelonging one shot of This Night on the Rooftops that was electrifying with family.

Hm … I once played a Bloodborne-style #FitD that was designed for one-shots. It was called #Bloodstone and I assume none of you has heard of it, so that qualifies as obscure.
I kinda liked it, but I think we got an important rule wrong. (The rules were a bit complicated for a one-shot system.)

[18] My favourite game system is the system of #BitD and related #FitD games. I start to miss it when playing other games, although there are other cool systems out there.
You have a pool of D6 and usually the best result counts. 1-3 is failure, 4-5 is success with complications, and a 6 is pure success. Plus position, effect, flashbacks, stress, group actions etc.

i have an idea for a #TTRPG campaign where the party continuously jumps through time. every session/mission would essentially play in a different time period in earth's history.

Studying how the game’s creator runs a game when learning how to GM a new system can be really helpful. Sharing APs is also probably great marketing for personable GMs like these two!

My #RPGaDay #RPGaDay2023 catchup continues - 3 first game bought this year.

It was #BandOfBlades , #FitD game. I was enhancing my own Warhammer Fantasy #FitD #hack and found out that Band of Blades had some kind of corruption mechanic as well, so I wanted to check it out.

Seems like an interesting game overall. Maybe I should test it out some day :)
