I did the thing of skipping lunch and having GU gels before - and OMG what a difference it made.
I had one pack before and another after 20km. Absolute magic.

Did a 50km indoor bike ride, longest ride since last summer
Found a stunning route on #Rouvy along Riding Mountain National Park in Manitoba, some easy climbs and a fun 10k downhill finish just to sprint
Took me just under 2h and I’m not especially tired. Very nice.

It looks like my FTP has increased since January! I’m so happy!
It’s now, according to Garmin, “Fair”, because before it was just total utter garbage.
Working out more now to bring it to acceptable levels.

Help! My actions had consequences!
A week of sitting around, staying up late, and stuffing myself with all the carbs and candy my hands could land on has left me in an absolutely miserable state this week.
Every workout has been a nauseous and painful affair. Even now I feel the acid pooling in my right bicep and know I'm going to need to do cardio later (yuck) if I want to be able to sleep tonight.
Aging is a bastard.
Damn. Couldn't quite handle that last set. Starfished on the floor trying not to throw up.
But hey, gave it all I had, and I'll be stonger next time!
Just wish I'd started exercising in my teens/20s instead of when I was 45 but... whatever. #NeverTooLate
