What does one do in #Austria while friends are out skiing? A round of #hiking and lots of note taking.

Not too bad of a yield over 6h. Had to become a bit pickier in what I note in the second half. If I redid the same hike, there would still be plenty to map.

Sun was shining today so I got out my electric longboard (Evolve Skateboards Gen.2) and went for a ride.

Now that I have a google free phone (#lineageos) I could finally track my ride without my location data being all over the net.

Second day of #hiking this weekend. It definitely destroyed me more than expected. Felt it in the legs around kilometer 16. Well tomorrow got more to go.

I tried to use #FitoTrack.

I do mostly indoor exercises at the moment and it can't record them. Entering them manually is more cumbersome than it needs to be since it does silly things like demanding a distance and not even pre-filling it. Guess how far I move during my planks.

I tried to use it for running today and that also totally failed. That is part my own fault. It recorded nothing (static location) and discarded even the time when I hit stop.

Can someone #recommend something better?

My cousin told me of a new route that the locals use when they want to avoid the police, because their vehicle isn't licensed (quads or mopeds). So I went a round of #biking to check it out myself. It's definitely quite difficult finding the entry from the north, much easier from the south. Will need to check it out in the future to uncover all other routes.

Had the fun to do a Christmas market #ruck throughout #Munich. Visited 5 markets:

- Neuhausen
- Münchner Freiheit
- Weißenburger
- Wo anders
- Tollwood

The challenge was not to slip while hiking on black ice since the weather gave one ice rain. Luckily in the later hours it turned to snow.

Sadly the rain didn't permit much mapping opportunities.

Did a #hike (ca. 29km) from #Freising (#Q6998) to #Petershausen (#Q533046) over #Kranzberg (#Q506248). It was surprising how heavily the noise from the highway was being funneled to the higher locations in Kranzberg.

Went for a bike ride to check the validity aerial drawn paths. Learnt that most of them ended in a dead end or on private property. So will get to update the recently added ones from day 22 (https://en.osm.town/@barefootstache/108954208320230857).

Did a donut ruck around #Munich with the feature that almost each square along the route got walk along the circumference, at least the most outer and inner ones. Was able to get 74 #StreetComplete completed. Most open quests are concerning the opening times and if the node still exists.

If someone wants a challenge they can get the diameters of the hydrants underneath the Marienplatz, #München.
