I'm not good at mending, I don't have the patience for it.

I'm even worse at invisible mending. Se exhibit A.

Here the added challenge was that the problem section was reverse stockinette stitch. While I'm fairly comfortable in double stitching on a stockinette surface it works far less well on the other side so it looks actually better on the inside - duh.

Day 2 #FixesAndMends for #Fiberuary dad’s sweater this time but a woollier wool which helped but my ventures to cut off cable work had my nerves frayed. I had it all seamed and dad had worn it but I needed to fix and realise neither of us are tall or have long arms! #Knitting #KnittersOfMastondon It is the Denali sweater I posted in #texture week Body 1st then I noticed the cuffs so did them too Bottom up knitting cutting or as my mum used to say pull a thread but she fixed things now it’s me

My #Fiberuary fixes & mends will be simple to knitters but the prospect of this week that made me fix the sleeves of my just finished hoodie + do the same with the 1st one I knit & just put up with! The sleeves were too long & cuffs wide The yarn wasn’t woolly so I took a risk cut the cuffs off plus one lace repeat. They were knit bottom up and seamed I could’t just rip. I did sewn bind offs for much neater cuffs Not just ‘make do with’ ones. #knitting #FixesAndMends #KnittersOfMastodon

I'm not great on mending, but fixing. Give me a mistake in #knitting: Challenge accepted.

For example that one time when I did "Extreme 2-in-1 Socks" by Kory Stamper from @knittymag http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall06/FEATextreme2in1.html
Of course I messed up by wrapping the yarn from the inner sock around a stitch from the outer sock.

I dropped that st about 20 rows down (of course that was on a decrease line) and worked everything back up.
