Random scenes from #FlameCon. I know I said it last night but it was good just to go for fun and not have to work.
I'll share a few more favorites from #FlameCon here later but here's the whole album from yesterday. https://photos.app.goo.gl/C5E9kKXEmpEPDNda7
My body is reminding me you might just be way too old for all day at the con in Chucks without some sort of support.
But #FlameCon was a blast y'all.
Day 2 of Flame Con. Today 12-6 at the Times Square Sheraton (7th and 52nd).
Come by and enjoy the vibes. Pick up some fun art and comics by an amazing array of talented queers.
I have comics and some original art available. Or just come by and say hi!

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a con just for fun (meaning not working) and while I’m grateful for all the press experiences this Lois Lane had, it was fun just to have fun today at #FlameCon
Cons are awesome, man.
My #FlameCon line buddies (it was an hour wait to get in). The Good Omens cosplay was strong.
So many beautiful Weird Barbies (and Ken slacking on his job of Beach) at #FlameCon.
The traveling emporium has departed the Orbiting HQ and is headed to a hotel ballroom that's stuck in the 70s. It will make its glittery landfall tomorrow at high noon--in the vicinity of table A10.
It's time once again for Flame Con, a big ol' queer comic and fan con in the heart of NYC.

Come say hi! Pick up some art and reading material to add some sparkle and sass to your day.
Success!! For the third and final block, I was able to poise my finger on the refresh button and snag a table.
However....
How many deserving and dedicated people out there were not so lucky? This opportunity is all about LUCK (which could be just another word for privilege 🤔)
One show can't be all things to all people, no shade on Flame Con. How do we collectively move beyond this scarcity that so dominates the life of artists?
OMG, Flame Con tables!!! We're back to the storm the barricades approach--three blocks of first-come-first serve table applications.
The fracas around getting a table in 2019 still irks. I was something like 900 on the waitlist after the lottery. And there were people behind me.
But it was a different world in 2019. How's this thing going down in '23? Inquiring minds want to know.
Stay tuned, the adventure is just beginning.
