2. Stawianie serwisów w oparciu protokół #Nomad (dawniej #Zot ), czyli #Streams lub #Hubzilla – w ramach tego użytkownicy/instancje mogą gadać ze sobą bezpiecznie i prywatnie lub publicznie, jak zechcą i przyłączać AP, jak zechcą
• Problem1 – Żadne z tych rozwiązań nie jest wystarczająco proste dla normalsów.
• Problem2 – Integracja w ramach AP idzie w kierunku zgodności z Masto. Np. ostatnio próbowałem szerować #wydarzenia z #mobilizon do #Friendica – czasem się wprowadza do kalendarza, czasem nie, cholera wie dlaczego, a proste info dla Masto jest zawsze poprawne. Co ciekawe, zauważyłem projekty integracji #Flarum #Nodebb #Discourse z AP i już myślałem, że będziemy mieć sfederowane fora, co byłoby super ciekawe (patrz obrazek). Niestety, to też idzie w kierunku integracji z Masto, który pewnie będzie alternatywą dla emaila (nic ciekawego).
WNIOSKI. Podstawą integracji w AP długo będą proste komunikaty Mastodona. Chyba najlepiej używać czegoś zaawansowanego w tym formacie. Obecnie #FireFish – obsługuje #grupy i #grupyprywatne (prywatność umowna) plus do tego co kto chce. Wybrańcy mogą używać #Streams .

@randy5235 yes, that's the idea! The final implementation and interop is still TBD, but what I really want is to be able to solve the chicken and egg problem of #community building — how can we jumpstart the growth of small forums who have neither the content nor users to generate said content? Other #NodeBB (or #Flarum, or #Discourse) instances may be the answer.

Connection with the wider fediverse has the potential to be this silver bullet.

Dann schaut euch Flarum an. Sehr einfach aufzusetzen und benötigt lediglich einen ganz normalen LAMP-Stack. Oder kurzgesagt: Läuft Wordpress auf eurem System, dann läuft Flarum da auch :blobcatowohappy:

There are now 3 #forum softwares that are implementing federation: #Flarum, #nodeBB and #Discourse (via The Pavilion).

I sincerely hope that we do not get 3 incompatible federated apps, and would like to point out once more to the #Fediverse Enhancement Proposals process process (the #FEP) as a means to align #ActivityPub implementations.

I've personally been a fan of Discourse even though I think it's a bit of a beast and not always as intuitive as old school options - but curious to hear if anyone has found anything better?

I was approached by a #Flarum maintainer about #ActivityPub support. Later, when The Pavilion announced the #Discourse plugin I informed them again, but unless I overlooked got no response.

Indeed, I hope for a collaboration and a common vocabulary being used and preferably documented in one or more #FEPs

A federated #forum software. But most likely there are a couple in the works. There's The Pavilion cooperative working on a plugin for #Discourse and some time ago a #Flarum maintainer told me they are working on adding #ActivityPub support too. And there's #LemmyBB which has forum-like aspects.

So, I've got this community website for #aviators running on #Forem. However, the more I think about it, it doesn't quite seem the right fit. Anyone have any experience with running #Discourse or #Flarum? Preferably want to run something in #docker.

A Friend had to leave the community we are both in, cause he became visually impaired recently. So I tried #flarum with a screenreader and its not really usable.

Looking for a forum #FOSS that I can add big features to as plugins/extensions.

I want to migrate a small community from #Drupal (using the forum module). It has served me well, but it's not a *forum* software per se, so it lacks many community features.

Reviewed #Discourse again but #RubyOnRails is not something I have experience with or want to have it.

Found #Flarum (PHP) which seems to match my goals of minimalism, performance and having an active community behind.

We'll see.
