I’ve used Brainscape, Anki, and the excellent Spaced Repetition plugin in #Obsidian. Donated to the last one, it’s so good.

But I don’t use any of them any more for #flashcards, because I’ve created my own version that uses plugins solely for convenience!

It’s an analog-inspired workflow that can be as manual or automated as you want, with no coding knowledge required. Free, unless you want to get fancy. Obsidian recommended.

I haven’t looked at my #Japanese #flashcards in ages. There’s a 5.25" stack of vocab and grammar cards alone! So, I’m trying to cull them down, but even half that size is too many to study efficiently in a timely manner. And that doesn’t include the kanji cards! #日本語 #フラッシュカード

Hey everyone! In this video, I demonstrate a cool flashcard program I built using Python and the Tkinter library. It's a great way to learn and memorize programming terms or any other set of information.

The program randomly presents flashcards with terms on one side and their meanings on the other. You can flip the card to reveal the meaning, and if you already know the term, simply click the 'Known' button to remove it from the deck. It's a fun and interactive way to study!

👋 Hello world, I made a thing. Quizlet removed their flashcard printer tool a year ago and nobody else made a replacement. I needed it, and teachers I know used it all the time and can't now.

So... I made a replacement!

It's still got a few tiny styling changes I'll fix over the next few days, but functionally it's complete!

Necesito de vuestra sabiduría digital. ¿Alguna aplicación ya sea móvil o servicio vía navegador para fichas de vocabulario o #Flashcards de estudio en general? Iba a comenzar a crearlas en cartulina para repasar neerlandés pero pensando en el provecho que se le puede sacar a una buena clasificación a través de metadatos (ej. campos semánticos, categorías gramaticales, grupos de irregularidades, etc.) ¡Gracias de antemano!

Trying to use #Anki (specifically #AnkiDroid) to learn #Welsh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 vocabulary but so far all I seem to have managed to do is add vocabulary to it, rather than test myself. 😄
