Who'd be up for trying #FlashFictionFriday where we post our finished, WIP, or experiments in the format to browse and share and get feedback on?

Let's be real: we all want a little validation, so here's a way for everyone to get some of that, as well as meet and discuss stuff!

also, there are others who are making better use of the #FlashFictionFriday hashtag for their own separate and unrelated purposes and i don't want to dilute the hashtag away from their more concentrated efforts.

One of my WIPs for Shadows & Sorcery for this inaugural #FlashFictionFriday called Demon's Armour

"The blood had to be human.

We tried it with beast blood, we tried mixing in our own small samples to alchemical mixtures, but no, it had to be human blood and naught else. This will have to be investigated, but the sacrifices incurred so far have been unthinkable. I dread to think of what may become necessary."

The aim of this tag is to get writers new and old posting and experimenting with extremely short form fiction (~1000 words) for fun and feedback!

Genres of all kinds are welcome, as are finished works or WIPs. All you gotta do is post your work alongside the tag (preferably as text in a thread), browse some fiction, leave some faves and boosts, maybe even tell the stories you liked them.

Good stuff! The idea right now is just post some writing as text or image (text preferred for people with screenreaders if you can, but if it doesn't fit don't worry), use the #FlashFictionFriday tag and maybe throw some others in for visibility, read some stuff, have fun!

Thinking of starting a little community effort on here called #FlashFictionFriday where we can get together casual, share some stories, get some feedback, and people can try out the medium

The Neanderthal tribe was gathered around the fire. Some of the tribe started chanting and others danced. The tribe finished and quieted down. Then Og stood up alone and for the very first time chanted WHILE dancing. The stunned tribe howled with appreciation when Og was finished. That day in history, Og became history’s first performer, never having to hunt or gather again.

Then, with the heaviest sigh, began the rehearsed explanation that they had prepared just in case. Truthfully, they weren't all that prepared really. And if they were going to explain things properly, someone - and they weren't going to name names - was going to have to procure some hand puppets that looked exactly like Ross and Rachel from Friends.
