Pattern movement allows #Hilary and it’s moisture to come north towards Southern California Sunday and Monday. 1939 was the last tropical storm landfall so we don’t have a lot to gauge this on, but we know any high rate events like a tropical system pose a threat for FLASH FLOODING especially over burn scars and steep terrain.

#FlashFlooding near City of Rocks National Reserve. Roads impassable/missing. We crossed a few places with a bit of water over the road (off road equipped 4x4 F150 super crew) those were minor, won't dare cross this one, it's deep and swift.
So.... Now we sit in the middle of the desert and wait. Tallest thing for a mile around... had a lightning strike within 200 feet. Yay.
