There are other operating systems with auto-upgrade - CoreOS was the original, and Flatcar is a continuation. You subscribe to a channel, the channel pushes updates, and you get to decide which channel you are on as to how aggressive those updates are.

If you have a big enough fleet, you run one on "alpha" in the lab, one on "beta", the rest on "stable" or "LTS" depending. You watch the alpha channel for breakage.

Well, I lasted about 4 days. But here I am, attempting to get a Mastadon instance spun up on #flatcar and #equinixmetal.

Absolutely no intention of running my own instance, but I just want to see if I can get this working. Which really just describes about half the things I do.
