107 followers · 295 posts · Server mstdn.socialJust watched the fabulous documentary #CrossingRachmaninoff on #Netflix – the story of pianist #FlavioVillani returning to #Italy to perform with an orchestra for the first time, and taking on the mighty #Rachmaninoff's 2nd piano concerto, possibly my all-time favourite piece of #ClassicalMusic. Also touches on Villani's sometimes difficult journey to acceptance as an #LGBTQ person. Well worth a watch
