I am not indifferent to their plight. I have given them an opportunity to complete their life cycles among their fellow Fleabane.

Hello, City of Little Rock Code Enforcement,

Here is a photo of me removing a weed from my giant patch of #Prairie #Fleabane. It is therefore "cultivated" under Sec 20-2(a)(1), and thus not a violation.

Also, the worst possible punishment is a fine of $100.

You want to come after me and my #botany project, waste the Environmental Court's time, and listen to me ramble about Asteraceae for two hours, just to get $100?

After consulting with others who have more advanced degrees in biology and/or more ranks in Herb Lore, I have decided I am #wrong*

This is #Prairie #Fleabane (E. strigosus), not Daisy Fleabane (E. annus).

Even the photo of the book I used clearly says I am wrong.

There's a reason I put math and computers in my bio, but not #botany. I'm not ashamed, but I do hate that the AI was right.

(* Wrong about the plant, I mean. The HOA can still suck it.)

This is #Daisy #Fleabane. It is a native species that quickly colonizes newly cleared ground. It is in the Sunflower family, but much smaller.

I have allowed these to grow unchecked, because I like them, and so do the #bees. The local HOA is not pleased, but I am not a member, and they have no legal power.

Even the "rank profusion" clause of the city ordinances doesn't apply, since I have purposefully cultivated them.

Suck it, HOA.
