Drove out to an alpaca farm today to pick up "a few" fleeces, but when I got there the seller insisted she just wanted all of it gone and gave me the lot.
It uhhhh looked like a lot less when it was spread out in her barn 😅
No idea how much there is, but there's at least 12 blankets (one is a baby fleece!) as well as some seconds and thirds.

Three Jacobs sheep fleeces!! The colors are so beautiful 😍
When I picked it up, the seller told me he would be shearing again this summer and offered me those fleeces as well (and I agreed because I got this for an incredibly fair price), so I'm gonna have to get processing and figure out what to do with it all before I am absolutely overrun with fleeces.

#improvised quilt, some #cotton from stash (Eiffel Towers #fabric #whatwereyouthinking 😂) but mostly #scraps from various #dressmaking projects. Backed with #fleece because that's what I do. #QAYG in 5 or 6 pieces then joined with #sashing at front and back. No idea about finished size but same as an older quilt big enough to go over two dog beds.

Cleaned some fleece in preparation for dyeing and spinning. This one is from a Gulf Coast Native sheep named Krinkle on one of the farms I visited (see my post from a few days ago with the sheep photos). This will eventually become a sweater (jumper) and a knitted vest (waistcoat).

Additional stuffed little nub tail and foam shaped ears, and modified to hide the hoodie pouch pocket on the inside. It's not perfect, but it'll do for the coming winter as just a thing to wear around the house though.
