This is one of the absolute best “party music” records I’ve ever heard. When this brilliantly campy garage rock album came out I thought it was going to break this band into the mainstream music scene. My friends and I even brought them to our college for Spring Fest and they got the whole campus dancing their sweaty asses off. So much fun! Someone at an #OpenMic recently asked me what kind of music I play – didn't realize what a hard question that was to answer! I do almost entirely covers, ranging from #ReinaDelCid to #FlorenceAndTheMachine to #TheWeakerthans. I cover #DarWilliams and #Cracker, the #Fleshtones and even Albany legends #Blotto. As a genre, #blues is probably my favorite but I don't perform much of it. My answer was "folk piano, I guess?"
