My questions:

(1) Am I on a watchlist? Should I be paranoid about this?

(2) My one flight attendant friend said they do this for guests who look like they can be helpful in an emergency (I'm 6'2" and a former Jr. Dino wrestler). Is there any truth to this?

(3) I'm not that special. So, it kinda made my day. But, why would a flight attendant say this to a passenger after every has been seated and before takeoff?...
