Sitting on a small pile of long-used and expired #ONT #flongle cells. Anyone have any idea on something fun I could do with all this? #sequencing
#ONT #Flongle based full plasmid sequencing and consensus generation workflow. Makes a lot of sense for places that can scale up on production, but I'm still a bit ambivalent on how this would apply to independent/amateur researchers. https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2022.06.21.497051v2.full
@ChristosArgyrop Oh, interesting! I've been so focused on getting *more* reads (we're waiting on our P2 right now) that I probably haven't thought enough about flongles for method development. Right now I just use mostly-spent #MinION cells (<300 pores), but at ~$65 a #flongle we should clearly be doing that. Nice tip!
