I think about music a lot. I think about sound a lot.

I also spent years working in a concert venue, so my ears are pretty garbage at this point.

Even with my garbage ears, I can hear a good system from a bad one (and you could too, if you knew where to listen and had consistent exposure to each.)

I'll tolerate a lot of analog noise and decay in a signal. I'll tolerate a little more digital noise than I used to (see #floppycast for the extreme of this.)

Just read your blog post on #floppycasts - it sounds like a really interesting project. Personally I prefer the idea of a shorter #floppycast with better audio quality.

I've been podcasting for over 11 years now, and I keep threatening to do a talk #shotcast - so I might see if I can combine it with this concept to keep the length down.
