I'd feel floppy!

In the early 90ies I subscribed to a computer magazine. Every month there'd be this 5¼" floppy with free goodies and demos.
But every month the old mailman would fold the 'zine in half to slide it into the mailbox...
After a few wrecked floppies I explained he shouldn't be folding.
Soon after the publisher switched to 3½" disks, smaller than half the magazine. Problem solved.
We've come a long way since the !

When I am collecting retro pc games, I always try to find all the boxes, manuals and other stuff to go along with cd and floppy disk images.

As an example, this is what my "Extras" folder for "Star Wars - X-Wing" looks like. I think it's mostly complete ;-).

Working on a project to get data off an old Toshiba Libretto - it only has a floppy drive on it (and I don't feel like firing up the old WEP network). Found these in the attic. Overwrite or no? (Some are obviously okay to overwrite, but it feels weird)

Im Füllhorn der Repos gibt es von den GRUB-Maintainern noch immer eine Vorlage für eine GRUB2-Boot-Floppydisk. Das Paket „grub-rescue-pc“ hinterlegt in /usr/lib/grub-rescue/ u.a. das Abbild „grub-rescue-floppy.img“, welches sich dann direkt auf Floppy schreiben lässt, bspw. per dd. Sehr cool zum Testen und Lernen. Vor allem, wenn der Rechner noch nur ein Floppydrive hat.
