We know the world's largest flower is a parasite, we also know what the host plant is and how the pollination works, but we still have no idea how the seeds of #Rafflesia arnoldii are dispersed, nor can we cultivate this species.

#Nepenthes ampullaria is not rare but unique in its own way: it’s #detritivorous rather than carnivorous. The pitchers are there to collect leaf litters instead, that’s why the pitcher lid is so small.
