Achieved a zen moment myself while observing this woman sitting in the shallow waters at the shore of the Gulf of Mexico. It appeared that she was meditating and what a wonderful way to calm your inner self. Simply being by the water to watch the sun go down can release stress and quiet the noise.

A few years back after reading the news about an abandoned sailboat on Hollywood Beach, Florida, I drove before sunrise to the location. I got several good ones with sun rising over the horizon. In this photo, I was able to capture the morning with the sailboat and the paddle boarders seen in the far left.

I not an early morning person, but some places there is just magic in the morning that is worth getting up for. Gilbert’s Bar House of Refuge located on Hutchinson Island's rocky shoreline was built in 1876 to aid shipwreck victims. I woke before sunrise. As the morning light illuminated the beach, the scene before me was breathtaking!

Good morning, new Mastodon friends and fellow Twitter expats. Last night, my sister and I talked about the eroding Florida beach where we spent our high school years and where we took our children. We had a townhome there with other family members. (We sold it a couple of years ago.) Last year, my sister and I both discussed moving to the shore. Needless to say, I'm glad our residences are farther inland, but there's some sadness re: recent events.
