I want to be excited about this past week’s CDC FluView trends but I think rather than signaling a cresting wave it might be a slight post-Thanksgiving decline that will be followed by a winter school break / Christmas / New Year’s jump (note dip then increase in previous ILI seasons

We’re entering the winter wave of viruses in the northern hemisphere and should do our part to limit spread of not just Covid but also flu and other viruses.
That said, it’s hopeful to see lower rates of inpatient admissions and death for Covid-19.
