We need faster ferries that do not take cars, to link with fast train services in Stranraer, Holyhead, Fishguard, and Cherbourg.
There are huge gaps in this network, not least in fast rail connections across Ireland, but our governments are more concerned with preserving loss-making flights from airports in Derry, Donegal, Knock, Shannon, and Cork.
