Canโt get my head around the mentality of someone who drives 3 miles to a scenic viewpoint to dump rubbish. They very likely drove past the local, convenient municipal dump to do it which points to it being commercial waste ๐ก #flytipping

Charging by local authorities doesn't help matters, neither does the fact that some people don't check the credentials of those they pay to dispose of their #waste.
On a different note ...
There are so many #litterpicking groups that regularly collect #singleuse packaging, thrown out of vehicles, or dropped by those without a care for the #environment. A lot registered on the #birdsite but very few have made it across to the #fediverse.

It's a horribly wet day here in south Monmouthshire so I thought I'd share a memory of a walk when the weather was brighter, drier and a bit colder...
So Tilly and I were walking along a farm track when we came upon one of the curses of living in a country area. Amazing the lengths some people will go to to ditch their rubbish... and how stupid they can be!

Yesterday our hardy team were out and about in Robin Hood Green in #StMaryCray on the #LabourDoorstep picking up issues from #flytipping to benches a bus stops.
They also signed up several Labour Voters to #PostalVotes so they will never miss and election again!
Hope they have now warmed up!
