One reason for #UrtukTheDesolation is that it's part of my work on #fnaify successor #IndieRunner (https://github.com/IndieRunner/IndieRunner) which is coming along gradually. At the current pace, I think by 2023 it might be ready to replace #fnaify on #OpenBSD. It's written in #perl5 with the goal to support other operating systems in the future... Looking at you, #FreeBSD (among others)

@ckeen@vernunftzentrum.de I just looked at the files of 1.5.5 from https://steamdb.info/depot/413153/ ... Still uses MonoGame and there seem to be .dll assemblies: `Stardew Valley.dll` and `StardewValley.GameData.dll`. With some luck, it might take as little as renaming a file... Will check it out when this version lands on GOG.com.
@ckeen@vernunftzentrum.de You're joking, right? ... RIGHT!?? Is there also no `MonoGame.Framework.dll` anymore?
If no, then I hope you better keep your last pre-1.5.5 version, 'cause sure as hell the 'digital distribution platforms' won't do that for you...
I will stream the latest #fnaify game on #OpenBSD , Glitchangels, in 10 minutes on https://www.twitch.tv/thfrw
Glitchangels is the most recent game to run (out of the box on #openbsd 6.8-current) with #fnaify. Some footage to follow soon!
BSD gamers rejoice! #fnaify can now help you run the critically acclaimed indie rogue-lite platformer #Flinthook! It just needs to replace the bundled NLog.dll with a newer version, and fnaify can do this for you!

The #fnaify project just received detection and setup of XNA games. This way you will be able to even run games on *BSD that are only listed for Windows platforms, not Linux/Mac! Tested & working so far with The Useful Dead and Super Amazing Wagon Adventure. More to folllow...
#fnaify 1.3 released! With 2 new features to make it easier to use it with more FNA games:
- if FNA version is incompatible, offer to automatically replace with FNA 17.12 (which should work in most cases)
- find steamworks-nosteam stub and use it if needed. Facilitates working games that use Steamworks, like "Salt and Sanctuary".

Solaroids: Prologue is a pretty Asteroids-like game based on FNA, currently in Early Access on Steam. It runs on #OpenBSD with #fnaify (in ports) and the Steamworks.NET stub at https://github.com/rfht/Steamworks.NET-nosteam
It happens to be 50% off today on Steam ($4.99).
Highlights include gorgeous graphics, great sound track, and local multiplayer.

#fnaify running #StardewValley on FreeBSD! :blobaww:
Please non-puffy BSD'ers, hit me with (correct and tested) diffs for your BSDs - fnaify was never intended as an #OpenBSD-only script!
If cross-BSD support is easier with awk than sed, you can also send a diff for that.

#openbsd gamers - #Chasm is a metroidvania indie gem released *today* that runs on OpenBSD with sound and gamepad support - first fully running commercial game of 2018! Steam library needs to be replaced with a stub, but that's all! Then just run #fnaify on it and you're good to go!
@bcallah @mulander @devnexen @calvin The count of games running with the #fnaify script is now 28. If you want to see the remaining issues (besides the #mono port), take a look at https://github.com/thfrwn/fnaify/issues It's a wide variety of problems from Steamworks/DRM issues to path formatting to use of proprietary libraries.
