If I upgrade now, I'm looking more at different form factors than a more powerful version of what I already have. I'm reading enough about the Pixel Fold to probably hold off until next year's version of the device, BUT I am looking closely at the new RAZR flip phone (everything old is new again).

I like the vertical fold for size reasons. Would purchase Samsung's version if I could get something closer to stock Android on it.

I know that this is hardly scientific, but it's interesting that The Verge is scoring the Pixel Fold the same as it scored the original Surface Duo (6 out of 10). I would have expected a stronger initial showing from Google.

(Maybe it was good fortune that Google cancelled my order out of the blue!)

Looks like the Pixel Fold is actually going to happen this summer. Looking forward to seeing what the specs are - I'm still skittish about a single folding display and how well the crease holds up. I'll have to see how recent Samsung Flips and Folds are holding up before I decide to jump on this one.

Officially wrote my first code for dual screen fold-able devices today. Nothing super sexy - just updating Passive Data Kit's Android library to be able to log multiple apps as being active at the same time when one's open on each screen.

As an avid Microsoft Surface Duo fan, I'll be keeping my eye open for this. I expect it to be exorbitantly expensive, but will be intrigued nonetheless, esp. since the purported demise of the two-screen form factor.
