It would depend on what the system requirements are and what my up-time needs to be.

My #RaspberryPi is running my 3D printer, so it is on 24/7, but I don't want to load it with too many services and degrade my printing quality.

If I can run the folding from #Docker when my laptop is on, I would totally do it. My laptop is almost always on. It just isn't on an inverter like my Pi.

Anyone running #foldingathome? Mine stoped working since end of March. No errors, no web-interface, no logs, FAHControl can't connect, not folding. If I stop the service and manually run, same thing happens.

I've finally broken into the top 32,000 of folders. The competition in the upper levels is intense. It's taken me years to arrive at this point, but it's all for a worthwhile cause. #FoldingAtHome #FAH

I tried #foldingathome and #boinc on my M1 and M2 macbook airs to see how they work without fans.
None of them use the efficient cores of the #applesilicon CPUs, even #einsteinathome, which supposedly is written for these.

#apptamer can force #foldingathome but not #boinc to run on the efficient cores and #primegrid can use the GPU.

Makes me wonder again how green is #distributedcomputing compared to projects just building or leasing larger, more efficient computers. #greencomputing

Would like to use my M2 MBA GPU for medical projects if other #boinc projects or #foldingathome would add this.

weird. in the past couple of weeks, #foldingathome #fahclient has now hit two different of my home machines with a corrupted work unit that causes it to try to start, fail out as "INTERRUPTED" and sit idle "waiting for fahrun". Restart doesn't clear it. If I ignored it, it'd sit idle until the work unit expired, but deleting the contents of the config/work directory and forcing it to pull a new WU fixes it.

The excitement is real. Been doing this CPU WorkUnit for like 3 days

Hey #3DPrinting #OctoPrint users: does anyone know if it's possible to stop a service once a print starts?

To be specific: my #RaspberryPi stays idle for way too long between prints, and I am considering running #FoldingAtHome #FaH to make use of the idle CPU, but I am afraid it might interfere with the print, so I want to make sure it's stopped automatically, instead of me stopping it manually.

So Letzte Meldung, der ACC wird eingestellt aus mehreren gründen, die FHA Stats kommen jetzt wie gewohnt 1x die Woche von meinen neuen Main Acc.

Für die norden.social stat wird es keinen Ersatz geben, diese sind mal entstanden weil @leuchtturm diese nicht mehr geposted hatte mittlerweile tut er es aber wieder also sind sie nicht mehr von Nöten.
