Shiny new things alert! It’s the podcast’s 3rd anniversary episode, so in order to honour the all powerful story rule of 3, I am bringing you not one but three episodes! My first has everything you might want in a story: bees, a blue eyed hare, a wise old woman, a witch & All Hallows Eve plus some interesting things you may not know about bees, honey, death & the Underworld: https://bit.ly/3Zd68rQ
Some people turn into werewolves so that they can tear people and animals limb from limb.
Others do it to commit highway robbery.

The Devil is only too happy to gloat if you walk down the same villainous path as your father, grandfather, and great-grandfather before you.

#MythologyMonday: Cian found his way to Balor’s domain and discovered the tower in which Eithne was imprisoned. Balor’s daughter bore Cian three sons, all of whom were thrown into the sea by their furious, frightened grandfather when he discovered their existence. Cian was able to save one, who became the god and hero #Lugh.

In Tokyo there is a statue of Hachiko the faithful dog near the busy Shibuya crossing. Legend goes that after the dog's owner died unexpectedly he continued to wait for him each and every day for the next nine years. The statue is now a famous meeting place.

"An ancient African water spirit, Portuguese slave traders, and a snake charmer traveling with the circus--incredibly, all of their stories collide in a narrative that spans centuries, continents, and the best and worst of human instincts."

First volume now at close to 900 pages, making publication on a POD site impossible. Second volume just over 500 pages. Third volume <200 pages. This gives me cause to consider compiling volumes two and three in a single binding.
Volume one is a pain, though. I'm either going to have to increase the paper size or shrink the type.
(Vols 4–6 still unknown.)

„In England the fall equinox period was devoted to harvest fairs marked by mummers’ parades in which mythological characters like Robin Hood and Maid Marion danced with animal archetypes like the Hobbyhorse.“
„As the syllable hob usually indicates a connection with the #Otherworld, the hobbyhorse is thought to derive from Celtic practice, perhaps related to the horse goddess Epona.“
