As @zachnfine was writing, one first fix would be that #FollowersOnly #toots should NOT be visible to nonfollowers mentioned in the toot. To take an email comparison, it forbids the To:victim BCC:mycrowd type of #harassment. And this can be implemented on the "good #server".

Then there are the blocking mechanism issues which are multi server issues, more complex...

Suppose you post "followers only" and a follower boosts the post? I presume it retains its "followers only" setting.

If so, then selecting "followers only" seems to have the drawback that you will never gain new followers.

I may be missing something. I often am. But thank you for not making the post I'm replying to "followers only."

As a side note, I’m having issues captioning images when using the app. I also can’t go back and edit text I’ve written without backspacing it to where it needs editing, it won’t let me select. Is there somewhere I can report bugs for this kind of thing?

Strange account #lib4dem joined TODAY, then followed me and 5,600+ other people.

When they followed me, about 100 people had followed them. Now about 450 people are following.

This might not be a #bot or #spam account looking for followers. I'm not sure. But if you post to #followersonly, watch out for strange people on here.

An Idea to combine #Alt and #Main:

1)Make your account so that people have to #requesttofollow.

2) Folks that don’t follow you can still see all your public posts and boost them.

3) Only those things (nudie selfies, let’s say) you want your followers to see can be posted using #Followersonly

że mój post widoczny jest #Public, lub tylko w jednym wątku/profilu jako #Unlisted, lub tylko dla #FollowersOnly (lub wiadomość konkretnie do adresatów #Direct).
Wydaje mi się, że wiadomość Public/Unlisted nigdy nie zawęża odbiorców, zawsze do niej można dotrzeć.

Czyli jedynie można ustawić konto z moderacją śledzących i pisać FollowersOnly i musiałby wyrzucić cię ze śledzenia.
