Speak for yourself, but I LOVE having people interact with my content. There's literally no reason for me to be here posting my content if nobody sees, reacts, or cares. If. Mastodon didn't have #Boost or #Favorites I probably wouldn't be here, nor would a lot of others, I feel.🤷🏻‍♂️

For folks on a selfhosted server like me, 99.99% of my follows and followers are on another instance. It would be cool for anyone but especially for tiny instance people, to see stats on our profile page (private or public) that showed where our people were coming from.

It's Friday so we do a #followfriday thing? I'm a transmedia artist from Uganda, mostly work in #film and #writing in the #sff realms and would love to follow people in the same fields, generally, but anyone involved in the #art business, or those who #shitpost and have a good sense of humor. I'll #followback such folk.

Its hard to read a post with so many hashtags, but well, looking to increase my #followers and #follows so give me a boost or tag people you think I should connect with.

You can search your #follows for "#dormant" #accounts under "Edit profile" > "Follows and followers".

Upon checking what happened, I sadly noticed that some of the accounts that I have enjoyed here have taken their engagement back to that other platform, with frequent posts there.

Unfollowed, since it depresses me to check dilapidating #Mastodon accounts for new posts:

I made a #tool for #mastodon!

Some people have great taste, so mastodon-follows is a little tool that allows you to generate a HTML file from information about the people others follow, so you can quickly work out who to follow too. The major advantage over just viewing their page is the detail info, and the one-click links.

It's command line, and needs PHP. For now it solved my problem, I may improve that later!

I recently added some more #Bot accounts to my #Follows, but now feel frustrated by my decision. Pretty much all posts by @rachelrwithers and @kossamaras are fabulously informative & insightful, so i often feel desirous of posting responses. However, it's pointless, afaik, coz each account has the disclaimer "This account is a replica from Twitter. Its author can't see your replies". It's a bit like a one-way mirror. Grumble.

Time to clean your #Mastodon #follows: edit your #profile and under "Follows and followers", select #account activity "#DORMANT".

I bet there are quite a lot of #deadbirds. Select them, then click on "unfollow selected users".

Weird. All my notifications seem to have switched themselves off at some point in the last couple days. Thought things seemed a bit quiet lol
