This production of City of Angels which I photographed back in 2016 is a terrific example of how #SetDesign, #Costume, and #Lighting work together in #theatre. For those unfamiliar with the show, it tells parallel stories set in both the real world (represented by colour) and 1940s film noir movie world (represented in black and white).

Through careful choices in costume, warm and cool lighting, and set colour palette, you can easily tell which world each #actor is in, and the illusion holds up even when the actors stand close to each other!
