I'm very sorry for the inconvenience, but it did seem like the best compromise. The filters can be the expandable kind if you still want to see those posts.

My food hashtag will be for food appreciation, and #FoodMention for cat theft etc.

@MsHearthWitch it turns out there's a technical solution for our conflicting needs. @fade reminded me that when we create a filter, we have the option of making the posts disappear completely OR hiding the posts behind an expandable warning.

So that means people can turn food hashtags into DIY expandable content warnings, just like @colo_lee was hoping!

I will use # food and #FoodMention hashtags instead of content warnings in future.

So I am reversing my position on this. No more food content warnings. I will be using the #FoodMention and # Food tags instead.

Sometimes there really are technical solutions to social problems, and it falls to a Latin specialist to show us the way!

Note: This is still not a perfect solution because, at least for me, it only works in the web interface. My app just disappears all filtered posts. But I hope the apps will catch up. 7/n

If I post a food photo or a recipe for your delectation, I will add both the hashtag and content warning in future. But currently, all my relevant posts are about #SingaporeGangsterCat trying to steal my food. The content warning is appropriate, but I'd be spamming the food hashtag if I used it for cat content.

So I'm going to use the tag #FoodMention, so that people who don't want to see food content warnings can filter me out. 4/n

@korokke For some reason, brown eggs near me are up to a dollar less than white eggs in my area so I buy them more. Like, even if I want "fancy" eggs, I'll get duck eggs and those are $5-$6 max.

I just haven't really been posting much anywhere. I'm trying to increase my meals from one/two to two/three a day and it's a hassle as I argue with my family about kitchen usage (in let me use it).

I've been hush on having protein powder in my smoothies as a friend of a friend who doesn't like protein powder & goes on a rant every time I bring it up.

I'm low-key mad it's why I'm losing belly fat over working out regularly.
