Hey Mrfunke you are soooo right with this one, when I was employed it was with my local #Hospice in one of their Charity/thrift shops.
Now I'm out of work I volunteer at my local #FoodPantry I work with a great little team, doing real good for people who need help just putting food on the table. I have met some great folks and made some excellent friends. It does my heart and soul good 💞💜💞

Pandemic #SNAP in #NH ends this month. For March we will go back to the regular amount we would be awarded.

This drive up #foodpantry couldn’t come at a better time. It’s run by one of the “woke churches” in NH that was on the woke church hit list the Libertarians were passing around last year.

This is the kind of thing MAGAts were threatening to burn the church down for doing. Oh the horrors of woke church, feeding people and stuff!!

So, on with the day, having spent the last 2 mornings volunteering at #foodPantry, #humpday is my day, meeting up for lunch, with an old friend, we had kinda lost touch through COVID lockdowns, and not living as close to each other as we once did 😢. Really looking forward to a proper catch up. This evening, out for a drink with a couple of current friends 🥰🥰

I'm sharing this to hopefully inspire others to do good in their community.
A few years ago, my wife had a hope to help feed those who needed to supplement their food supply. So, we built a little wooden box, and I tried to make it look cute. We added a couple of shelves and stocked it with food. We put it in the alley behind our home. We let the neighborhood know it existed (using Facebook and Nextdoor). Many people take food from it, and many strangers add food to it.

You can do something similar. It only took me an afternoon to build. If you're not handy, you could probably purchase something that would work.
