I’ve had this “gimmick” pizza twice now, the Big Pizza Mac.
A pizza with burger ingredients: Mozzarella, Seasoned Ground Beef, Onion, Tomato, American Cheese, Dill Pickle, Secret Sauce.
It’s good! I like the pickles!

Bonus Photo of their Caprese pizza. These are both “Detroit style”, with crispy cheese edges.

On our way to #BowenIsland for the long weekend, we stopped in at The Pie Shoppe on Powell at Victoria in #EastVan https://thepieshoppe.ca/
They’re having a sale on everything from bottles of cider & wine to ceramics and frozen quiches, mostly half off.
Bought a couple of quiche and a couple of bottles, one of which was a red wine from #VancouverIsland that was actually pretty good!

Arguably my #FoodWiki powered by #TiddlyWiki has the best output of a static web setup https://foodwiki.bmann.ca - separate pages for everything, nice and fast.
I use Quine on iOS for nice editing, and then Working Copy to push to GitHub and it all auto builds.
Can’t easily do files / images which sucks for a food site.
I also have a list of errata like my preferred backlinks display not working and various other interactive wiki features not translating to the static version.
I had the best burrata I’ve ever eaten.
Half with a straccetti pasta with tomato mushroom parsley sauce, half with a baby arugula salad with agrodolce lemon dressing.

From today’s #Vancouver adventures along Main Street, stopped in at Balance Botanicals.
Bought some sweet paprika, Sichuan peppercorn, and the new-to-me black cumin. #FoodWiki https://foodwiki.bmann.ca/February%25204th%252C%25202023.html
Quiet Sunday, working on my #FoodWiki by making an index of the latest Cook’s Illustrated.
This gets me researching, like learning about black vinegar, this is Heng Shun Zhenjiang-style from my pantry. https://foodwiki.bmann.ca/January%252029th%252C%25202023.html
I’m really happy with how tonight’s dinner turned out: my own Lingcod in Coconut Broth with Flat Noodles.
Lime leaves for that classic Thai tanginess made the broth #FoodWiki https://foodwiki.bmann.ca/Lingcod%2520in%2520Coconut%2520Broth%2520with%2520Flat%2520Noodles.html
@farcaller ha. Yep if you have images as data URIs it can get big fast. There’s a File Upload Plugin that I helped fund that helps with this.
I have the flow for my #FoodWiki in #TiddlyWiki done as an initial version https://foodwiki.bmann.ca
But it doesn’t support tag links out of the box, and I have to find a proper static publishing compatible backlinks plugin or theme.
I made pho for lunch today with a packaged spice paste. With fresh Thai basil, some steak, and… green beans 🤷♂️

My big dinner was last night on Christmas Eve. Tucking into some leftovers including fried spaetzle.
What did you have last night or tonight? Include recipe links if you have them handy and I’ll add them to my #FoodWiki
It’s fun for me to read it cover to cover, and create a #FoodWiki table of contents for the articles and recipes so I can search it and use it for inspiration https://foodwiki.bmann.ca/Cook's%2520Illustrated%2520January%2520%2526%2520February%25202023.html
Cook’s Illustrated is one of the few pieces of paper-based reading I do.
The back cover illustrations are a great excuse to learn about one topic, in this case #Tsukemono, Japanese pickles. This gets me a great index in my #FoodWiki to explore https://foodwiki.bmann.ca/Back%2520Cover%253A%2520Tsukemono.html
After lunch at Kozak Eatery, a Ukrainian restaurant in #Gastown, I picked up some bread, a poppyseed pastry, and a sour cherry bun to take home. They have a mini bakery & deli at the front.

I can let you browse the #FoodWiki album to have a look https://photos.bmannconsulting.com/s/2nkh11u64p/foodwiki
Everything is private by default, so these share links are the only way to get access. For something a personal as photos, that's probably the right call.
You can poke around and hotlink thumbnails, which I did to embed in the FoodWiki https://foodwiki.bmann.ca/Sula%2520Meal%2520Nov%25202022.html
