Went for an evening walk with Adam and found a tonne of giant mushrooms that look very edible. Our Ukrainian guest will have a look at them tomorrow. She knows about mushrooms (and I always wanted to learn, so that's exciting!)

Today's shelf highlight is brought to you by the fact that I accidentally ate mock strawberries that my partner and I #foraged in the lot next to my apartment. The "white" was subtle. Scent: You're young, lounging on a cotton picnic blanket in a verdant field. A creek burbles nearby. Taste: You've got a good book in hand and a stalk of sweetgrass in your water.
The "black" was less so. Scent: You're resting in a hay loft after stacking green pine logs. A new friend eats a salad beside you. Taste: You start necking.

Assortment of some loose #incense blend glamour shots. I've shared most, if not all of these on my Instagram at the time of their creation, but I realised I never made a moodboard for them, which is a shame because I love moodboards.
From top to bottom and left to right we have: a #devotional blend for Murmur, a #deathwork blend made specifically to honour and guide to peace a queer elder after she tragically passed, an #offering for Beleth and lastly a #necromancy blend, with my #pendulum adding in that extra deathy vibe.
If anyone's interested at the specifics of the herbs, I'm happy to share! Every #herb and #resin I use is either #homegrown or #foraged.

Big scoop of dandy chai. There's a pot of this brewing on the wood burner most days. Dandelion roots, great digestive/liver tonic, mineral rich and much tastier than most folk expect. I mix 1:4 roasted root to dried for a rich coffee flavour. Its toasty, earthy and sweet. Added chai spices, including some #foraged common hogweed seeds and homegrown fennel. A couple of #foraged shrooms from earlier in the year for #FungiFriday, both 100-150mm diameter.
The one on the right is a very young example of the Orange Birch Bolete, before the "grey legs" had a chance to develop. (I know this one well, and eat it dried all year)
The other I THINK is L. cyanobasileucum (good eating) rather than the Brown Birch Bolete (rather tasteless). Any thoughts on this ID? Alternative suggestions?
