Mir geht es aber um Alternativen zu #Twitter. Twitter hat seine Reichweite u.a. als weithin respektierte #Annotationsplattform, die intelligente weiterführende Bemerkungen (#Tweets,#Metadaten) mit Content verlinkt auf “globaler” Skala. #Auffindbarkeit nach Schlüsseln (#Hashtags) ist dabei zentral. Deshalb nennt #Force11 und mittlerweile die #OpenScience community #Findable als einen von 4 #FAIR-Kriterien.

@mikethicke thanks for the post. I lead a community web build over at #force11 and we used several components inspired by Hcommons WP instance. I have been thinking about Academic Working Groups specifically and if ActivityPub could serve their needs better, as CMSs etc. get so complicated and particular. I'll look at how to contribute

@sageanastasi @fionabradley @econproph @aarontay @hugh @rmounce A few years ago we tried to define the scholarly commons in a #force11 project: https://doi.org/10.31219/osf.io/6c2xt. Commercial LLM projects exploiting OA may not deplete the commons, but we can discuss whether the sheer scale, anonimity, unpredictability of effects, and lack of public governance potentially still harms the commons.
