@blue_heathen I first noticed this during the First Gulf War when a client's son joined the Marines. Upon learning I was a combat vet, his first question was, "How many gooks did you kill?" When I explained I was a REMF (rear echelon mofo) he expressed a desire to join Force Recon so he could kill "ragheads and collect ears as trophies." I thought he was a one-off but it seems they're now the norm, if that can be normal.
