Ringing for a blood test because the lingering effects of long covid (for me) are that I completely forgot to do this earlier. Soldier, I am that goldfish (not dissing goldfish obviously).
Lo-band phone lines should never use on-hold music btw. It sounds awful, choppy. Like a bad noise reduction in audacity.
Just have a voice endlessly apologising for the wait. Or telling amusing stories.

I feel like I waste as much tea as I get to drink these days. Often I leave it to steep and come back to find it several hours later, bitter and cold. I try to set a timer, but sometimes I forget to do that. Fortunately today, as I was turning out the lights and preparing to leave the house...I remembered my tea. So here I sit enjoying my still hot cup of English Breakfast Tea.
